# Filters

> REALsite's Liquid filters, plus everything standard Liquid ships.

All of standard Liquid's filters work (`upcase`, `truncate`, `date`,
`where`, `join`, …). REALsite adds these:

## money

Formats a number as a Canadian price.

```liquid theme={null}
{{ listing.price | money }}   → $419,900
```

## image\_url

A width-constrained variant of an image object:

```liquid theme={null}
<img src="{{ listing.first_photo | image_url: width: 800 }}" alt="">
```

## theme\_asset\_url

The URL of a file in the theme's `assets/` directory:

```liquid theme={null}
<img src="{{ 'pattern.svg' | theme_asset_url }}" alt="">
```

## json

Safely JSON-encodes a value — the right way to put data into structured
markup or inline scripts:

```liquid theme={null}
<script type="application/ld+json">
  { "name": {{ site.agent_name | json }} }
</script>
```

## inline\_edit

Marks a value as editable-in-place for the owner's Design preview. Wrap
owner-authored text so clicking it in the editor edits the source:

```liquid theme={null}
<h1>{{ site.tagline | inline_edit: 'site:tagline' }}</h1>
```

Visitors get plain output; only the authenticated editor sees the
affordance.
