# Email at your domain

> Connect a professional mailbox and check that enquiries and replies reach you.

REALsite sends lead confirmations and newsletters using your name, with
replies directed to your configured contact email. This page is about a professional
**inbox** at your own domain, so the address on your card matches the
address on your sign.

We recommend [Google Workspace](https://referworkspace.app.goo.gl/KmKK) — it's
Gmail, Calendar, and Drive on your own domain. Mailbox service is separate
from your REALsite plan; review the provider's current price when signing up.
(Full disclosure: if you sign up through our link we may receive a small
referral credit. It costs you nothing, and we'd recommend Workspace
either way — it's what we use.)

<Steps>
  <Step title="Sign up with your domain">
    Start a Workspace trial and choose **I have a domain** — enter the
    domain you connected in [Your own domain](/docs/help/your-domain).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify and add the mail records">
    Workspace walks you through adding a verification record and Google's
    mail (MX) records at your DNS provider — the same place you added your
    site's records. If your domain is at Cloudflare, Workspace can often
    add them for you automatically.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send yourself a test">
    Once activation finishes, send a message to your new address and reply
    from it. Keep your previous mailbox available until sending and receiving
    work as expected.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Use it on your REALsite">
    Open **Settings → Email and mailing list**, update **Contact email** and
    save. Check **Lead alerts go to** there too. Send yourself a
    newsletter test and reply to it to check the address visitors will use.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Website hosting and mailbox hosting are separate. When connecting or moving
your website's domain, preserve the mail records your mailbox provider needs.
[Your own domain](/docs/help/your-domain) covers the website connection.
