Your old site can stay in place while you prepare REALsite. Before committing to the move, check your essential listing-data, contact and email requirements. Confirm these first so you know what will transfer, what needs setup and what must be checked before replacing your current service. Try one complete listing workflow during your trial before deciding about the move. Your current domain can stay where it is while you try the website, saved marketing and enquiry flow.
1

Start your REALsite

Sign up — your site arrives furnished (pages, forms, menu) at yourname.myrealsite.ca. Your old site notices nothing.
2

Run the import

Website → Bring my site → enter your current address → Bring my site over. As the import runs, completed pages and articles appear as drafts. Review saved old URLs, skipped content and any possible exclusive listings. Importing does not send email or change your old website.
3

Review your content in the new design

Use Review page to open Design and Review article to open Blog. Check the copy and photos, then mark the item Reviewed. This saves your progress without publishing. Publish page visibility separately in Pages, and articles in Blog. This is the moment to try a different theme on — your content came as content, not as your old site’s layout, so it fits any of the five.
4

Connect the feed

Open Listings → All listings → Your MLS® feed and connect your authorized DDF® feed. Follow the feed setup. Compare the actual search, listing details and coverage with the features you need before planning the domain change. Recreate any past sales or exclusive listings that are not supplied by the feed and that you are permitted to display.
5

Point your domain

Connect a domain you already own (connection and SSL are included — we’ll walk you through the DNS). New registrations and renewals cost extra. First confirm who hosts your email and preserve its mail records. After the change, open your new site and important old URLs in a browser. Check that forwards reach published pages, email sends and receives, and a visitor inquiry reaches your inbox. Keep the old service until these checks pass; redirects do not guarantee unchanged search rankings.
6

Keep the receipts

Pages → Redirects shows every forward and how often it’s used — use it to investigate missing destinations. Return to Bring my site to complete the saved launch checklist and review any remaining items.
